I Am Frightened : Prayer of St.Anselm

I am frightened of living, Lord.
My whole life seems sinful and sterile.
Any fruits I bear are either false or rotten. Nothing I do seems pleasing to You.
I am a barren tree that deserves to be chopped down, cut up and burnt.
I bear only the sharp and bitter thorns of sin.
If only those thorns could prick me into repentence.
Inside me my conscience burns.
I dare not show myself, yet I have nowhere to hide.
What will happen to me?
Who will protect me from Your wrath? Where can I find safety?
Lord, you are my judge in Whose hands I tremble.
Yet You are the One who can save me.
Though I fear You, I trust You.
Though I want to flee from You, I flee towards You.
Jesus, Jesus, deal with me according to Your Love.
Jesus, Jesus, forget the sin by which I have provoked You, and see only the misery which invokes You.
Most kind Lord, confirm in me all that belongs to you, and cast away all that is alien to you.
I like to think that St.Anselm was familiar with the following Psalms. Thank you Jesus!

Psalm 6

1 Don't punish me, LORD, or even correct me
when you are angry!
2 Have pity on me and heal my feeble body.
My bones tremble with fear,
3 and I am in deep distress.
How long will it be?

4 Turn and come to my rescue.
Show your wonderful love and save me, LORD.

5 If I die, I cannot praise you or even remember you.
6 My groaning has worn me out.
At night my bed and pillow are soaked with tears.
7 Sorrow has made my eyes dim, and my sight has failed
because of my enemies.

8 You, LORD, heard my crying,
and those hateful people had better leave me alone.
9 You have answered my prayer and my plea for mercy.
10 My enemies will be ashamed and terrified,
as they quickly run away in complete disgrace.

When you feel like there is something working against you pray!

Psalm 143

1 Listen, LORD, as I pray!
You are faithful and honest and will answer my prayer.
2 I am your servant. Don't try me in your court,
because no one is innocent by your standards.
3 My enemies are chasing me, crushing me in the ground.
I am in total darkness, like someone long dead.
4 I have given up all hope, and I feel numb all over.

5 I remember to think about the many things
you did in years gone by.
6 Then I lift my hands in prayer, because my soul is a desert,
thirsty for water from you.

7 Please hurry, LORD, and answer my prayer.
I feel hopeless.
Don't turn away and leave me here to die.
8 Each morning let me learn more about your love
because I trust you.
I come to you in prayer, asking for your guidance.

9 Please rescue me from my enemies, LORD!
I come to you for safety
10 You are my God. Show me what you want me to do,
and let your gentle Spirit lead me in the right path.

11 Be true to your name, LORD, and keep my life safe.
Use your saving power to protect me from trouble.
12 I am your servant.
Show how much you love me by destroying my enemies.

Jesus, I Trust in You!

Jesus, I Trust in You!
Say it in confidence!
Say it in Joy!
Say it in Heartbreak!
In every surprise!
Jesus, I Trust in You!
Say it with Love!
Say it with Courage!
Say it with Faith!
Jesus, I Trust in You!
Say it as a sinner!
Say it as a Saint!
Say it with trembling?
Even when you have no strength!
Jesus, I Trust in You!
Say, Jesus,
I Trust in You!
Have mercy on this sinner.
Jesus, I Trust in You!
Jesus, I Trust in You!
Jesus, I Trust in You!

Be Honest With Jesus. Talk to Him.

Fra Angelico : The Mocking of Christ
Be honest with our Lord. He is gentle and kind.
Mathew 11:30
"For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

Why do people lie to the Lord, He knows everything.
Faith is a gift and I pray for it everyday.
Because I am weak I depend on God for all my strength.

Thank You Dear Jesus for the blessing of my weakness!!!
Don't listen to people who mock God! They want to give you their misery.

Pray that God blesses them with Faith so they can share in your joy.
Pray that you never lose faith.
Pray that God makes you poor in spirit.

Philippians 4:4-7

"Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

I will pray for you with you!

The Beauty of God

This is the story of Eliot.
This is a story of the gift of Faith and the Beauty of God.

Mathew 5:3-10
"Blessed are the clean of heart: for they shall see God."

Job 1:21
"God gives. God takes. God's Name be Ever Blessed."

July Prayer : Mother Guide us to His Courage

John 2:1-10

1 On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. 2 Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding. 3 And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, "They have no wine." 4 Jesus said to her, "Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come." 5 His mother said to the servants, "Whatever He says to you, do it." 6 Now there were set there six waterpots of stone, according to the manner of purification of the Jews, containing twenty or thirty gallons apiece. 7 Jesus said to them, "Fill the waterpots with water." And they filled them up to the brim. 8 And He said to them, "Draw some out now, and take it to the master of the feast." And they took it. 9 When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom. 10 And he said to him, "Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!"

Be like the servants at the the wedding feast, ask your Mother Mary and she will intercede to Jesus on your behalf. Have the courage to do exactly what He tells you and miracles will happen. But also remember that what the servants asked for wasn't for themselves. It was wine for the wedding feast - for the enjoyment of the guests. Obviously they ran out of wine because they were serving it generously. They were generous to their guests. So be generous, and pray for the wellness of others and Jesus will tell you what to do. Give generously and God will replenish what you have freely given. God is not one to be outdone, He will replenish more generously for the benefit of all. (verses 8-10)

I will pray for you with you

As it is written in Matthew 18:20

"For where there are two or three gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."

Not everyone has someone to pray along with.
There are many of us who are alone sometimes.
This is a blog about helping to lift eachother in prayer.
When we come together in prayer we are fulfilling the Gospel promise Jesus made to us.
I will pray with you for you so that the word can be fulfilled.
God will help us! He won't turn His back on us!
God LOVES us! Let us celebrate this fact.
When you don't have the strength to pray tell me and I will pray on your behalf.
Or if you need someone to pray with you leave a prayer request in the "comment" box below and the time you will be praying for your special intention. I will make every effort to spiritually pray with you for you at the same time!
I don't know what will happen but I believe the Holy Spirit moved me to make this blog so let's find out together.
Praise God the Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit !!!

I look forward to praying with you,

Prayer Guy
